Her strategic vision has fostered partnerships with key stakeholders, such as the University of Cape Coast, which ensures rigorous academic standards and well-recognized qualifications for graduates.

Championing Infrastructure and Innovation

She spearheaded the commissioning of a 100-seater ICT centre, constructed using the college’s internally generated funds, to enhance students’ access to technology for licensure examinations and academic success. Additionally, her efforts have led to the development of state-of-the-art facilities, including a Nursing and Midwifery Skills Laboratory and an ultra-modern ICT Laboratory, equipping students with practical skills and technological proficiency.

Commitment to Community and Excellence

Dr. Arkah’s leadership extends beyond the campus, as she actively engages with the Sefwi-Asafo community. During the college’s 5th anniversary celebration in 2022, she emphasized the role of stakeholders in advancing quality healthcare education, a theme echoed in the college’s maiden graduation ceremony in 2023, where 308 General Nursing and Nutrition practitioners graduated under her guidance. Her ability to foster collaboration with regional health directorates, traditional councils, and corporate partners has strengthened the college’s impact and reputation.

Dr. Arkah’s dedication has earned praise from community leaders, including Nana Mintah Dehye II, Chief of Sefwi-Asafo, who commended her for uplifting the college’s image since 2017. Her focus on creating an enabling environment for teaching and learning includes plans to upgrade the skills laboratory, expand library resources, and invest in technology, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to meet the demands of the healthcare sector.
